Middle School - Associated Student Body (ASB)

    ASB 2014-2015 Student Council Meetings
Check back for dates and time!

Catharine Blaine will be joining other schools across the United Pennies for PatientsStates in a program that will be instrumental in raising funds for lifesaving cancer research. We will be taking part in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Pennies for Patients program. This program will run from Monday, March 16th to Friday, March 27th. Each student will receive a box for collecting spare change. That spare change will help fund treatments and cures that can save lives. Thank you in advance for helping patients with blood cancers live longer, better lives.

    Blaine ASB

This year the middle school students who are exhibiting positive citizenship on a daily basis will be invited to a celebration at the end of each quarter.  As a faculty, we are all very excited to have the opportunity to show these middle school students our appreciation for being role models and for creating such a positive school atmosphere!

To qualify for these celebrations, students must receive grades of A or B in citizenship in each of their teachers.  Students receiving lower than a B will have the opportunity to attend the celebration only after meeting the requirements listed below.

    1. The student must have a discussion with each teacher in the class where they earned a citizenship grade of C or lower.
    2. The student must write a one page paper for each of these teachers, reflecting upon their behaviors and explaining their plan for a more positive display of citizenship in the future.
    3. All papers must be submitted within two weeks following the end of the quarter.
    4. The team of middle school teachers will grant the student permission to attend the celebration, pending the quality of the work submitted.

Again, we are so thankful to have such an exceptional group of 6th-8th grade students and we look forward to rewarding their leadership in making Blaine a great place for all of our students.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Assistant Principal, Holly Mosimann.
